It's the end of the week but there are still some gaming news tidbits we can report on:
Nintendo brags about sales of its 3DS console - Even though the 3D-based portable console got off to a slow sales start in the US, Nintendo now says that sales have picked up and might even surpass the first year sales of its original DS console.
Star Wars The Old Republic to get stress test later this month - BioWare will invite every one who signed on to beta test the long awaited MMO to a "stress test weekend" later in November in order to see how many users the game's online servers can handle at one time.
Team Fortress 2-Saints Row The Third crossover - People who pre-order the PC version of Saints Row The Third on Steam will be able to get some unique items for the Heavy character in Valve's multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2.
October US retail game sales numbers - Battlefield 3 was the number one best selling game in the US in October in retail stores with nearly 2 million units (the sales numbers don't reflect downloadable game sales). Batman Arkham City sold 1.5 million units while the long awaited id Software shooter Rage sold 550,000 units.
Xbox Live subscriber numbers - Microsoft claims that a new Xbox Live subscriber signs onto the Xbox 360 online service every two seconds.
