The Irish rock band Bell X1 has experienced a multitude of changes on its path to success. Popular vocalist Damien Rice once led the band when it was known by a different name ? Juniper. Rice left the group, drummer Paul Noonan joined, and soon after the group changed its name to Bell X1.

Of its three studio-recorded albums, Flock, released February 2008, has proven to be the most successful. The album reached No. 1 in Ireland and gained a huge following throughout the U.K. Since then, the group has released 2009's Blue Lights on the Runway and this year's Bloodless Coup.
