California Health Insurance Laws ? Cars and Insurance

Have you seen the cost of medical treatments lately? And what if you need some sort of medical therapy? That is even more expensive and the price just keeps going up. It would be nice if we had a stress free life but the truth of the matter is that stress is all around us. Academic deadlines, demanding bosses and hectic schedules lead to a lot of unwanted and unneeded stress. Just think about how much stress is in your life.

Just wait it gets better. Did you know that just by walking down a busy street for roughly a half hour there is enough carbon monoxide to poison you? When you factor in unhealthy eating habits and even genetic disorders, we are bound to need medical treatment. Everyone should have medical insurance. Even the people in California need health insurance and are required by law to have it.

As a small business owner, do you need insurance for your employees? The answer to this question is a definite YES! You may want to do some research and find out how many employees you can have with out providing them with insurance. Not all of your employees will accept and want the insurance plan you offer them. Some employes want the COBRA plan. The COBRA plan is simply the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act.

If you are living in the State of California and have lost your health insurance you may know about COBRA. It was actually put into place to cover those people who have lost their health insurance. COBRA is less expensive than singular insurance plans, but is more expensive than group insurance plans. People who are retired are also covered under this plan.

Many people who cross the border illegally come to California. These people come with no insurance and they need assistance or aid. Illegal immigrants raise the number of people uninsured. The number of people who do not have health insurance is growing rapidly. There were many laws passed in 2003, one of which is the CHIA or the California Health Insurance Act. Under this law many families and children are covered.

Did you know that in the year 2005 the State of California passed CHIRA? CHIRA stands for California Health Insurance Reliability Act. This provides inexpensive health insurance to people in the State of California. Almost 9 years prior to that in 1996 HIPPA was passed.

HIPPA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Under this act workers and their loved ones to make sure that workers and their families have continuous coverage while employee is changing careers. This also covers those workers who happen to be fired from the job.
