Benrubi set to play 'Glutton'

Exclusive:"ER" alum Abraham Benrubi has been tapped to star as a 1,200-pound man in David Arquette's psychological thriller "Glutton."Remember Dreaming Prods. is behind the 3D pic, which was written by Kenny Yakkel. Stan Spry and Cameron Larson are producing along with R. Scott Reid, Steve Ecclesine and Lawreen Yakkel, while Arquette is exec producing through his Coquette Prods. banner.Benrubi will play Jethro, a bedridden man who is forced to save his sister's life."I've always been a fan of Abraham's work and I'm thrilled to be working with him on Glutton," said Arquette. "His kind nature and the honesty from which his acting comes is perfect for the role of Jethro.""Glutton," which is described as being in the vein of "Misery," is slated to start production in July in Canada.Benrubi is a veteran film and TV actor who recently had recurring roles on TNT's "Memphis Beat" and ABC's "Men in Trees." Thesp can currently be heard as the voice of Optimus Prime and other characters on Cartoon Network's "Robot Chicken."Benrubi is represented by Stone Manners Salners Agency and Erik Kritzer at Kritzer, Levine, Wilkins Griffen Entertainment.
